Freddie Hall began his career as an Assistant Director, working on productions including Fury, Justice League, I May Destroy You and Mothering Sunday. His directing experience spans second unit, short films, music promos, behind-the-scenes content and EPK documentaries.

His short film Best Man, starring Josh O’Connor, was nominated for Best Short and screened at BAFTA-qualifying festivals including Raindance, the London Short Film Festival and Aesthetica, before being acquired for worldwide distribution. Dead to the World, starring Craig Parkinson, Susan Lynch and Jonny Sweet, premiered at Palm Springs International ShortFest, while his most recent short, Blood Sugar, starring Tom Burke, screened at both the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival and the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

As a 1st Assistant Director, Freddie’s recent credits include The Cut, starring Orlando Bloom, Caitríona Balfe and John Turturro; Eternal Return, starring Naomi Scott, Kit Harington and Simon Callow; and Craig Roberts’ The Scurry, starring Ella Purnell, Rhys Ifans, Antonia Thomas and Paapa Essiedu. He also directed the second unit on Eternal Return and recently wrapped as 1st AD on Sean Mathias’ Frank and Percy, starring Ian McKellen and Roger Allam.
